POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for providing diversified support to our busy Installation Department, this position assists in equipment training, mentorship, administrative tracking and support.

Location: Ponoka, AB  
Work Environment:
  • Office environment
  • Occasional travel may be required which may include visits to industrial area
  • Fast paced with tight deadlines
Hours of Work: 40-hour work week

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Development and updating of training documents for all field positions.
  • Monitoring and updating the Training Matrix and informing employees of expiring certifications.
  • Accountable for all training certifications, mentor sheets and Auditing of Logbook compliance for Field staff.
  • Provide follow-through on mentorship programs to ensure successful completion within assigned deadlines.
  • Review, maintain and upload training certifications to the Server.
  • Booking of training courses, requesting of POs and leading in house training sessions when required.
  • Research training options and solutions.
  • Coordinate the training of employees on all types of equipment.
  • Assist with the review/building of all JHA, SOP and revise when/if required.
  • Encourage and demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Link information between Install and other departments to allow field personnel to effectively communicate with the office, thereby assisting with the effective start-up and execution of projects
  • Support the Install Manager, Install Assistant and Planning Coordinator on daily tasks and coverage for days off.
  • Travel to various projects when/if required to assist with training requirements.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

The following are required:

  • College diploma in Business Administration or Office Administration
  • Health and Safety Administrator Designation (HSA)
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of business principles, coordination of people and resources and production methods
  • 5 + years of Construction experience

  • Training in the use of Microsoft Office applications
